Ellie Skipsey

Ellie leads the People Team as Senior People Partner.

She provides strategic HR leadership across the Trust, ensuring that both central services and Academies are supported with high‑quality people management, workforce planning and organisational development.

The People Team is responsible for delivering expert support in recruitment, employee relations, policy development, workforce wellbeing, HR compliance and the development of effective people practices across all LST Academies. As a team, they bring expertise in HR strategy, organisational psychology, staff development and employment legislation, ensuring that leaders and staff are equipped to create positive, inclusive and high‑performing working environments.

Ellie brings extensive experience from the education sector, having worked across multiple HR roles before joining LST, including as HR Projects Manager within a large multi‑academy trust. She holds a Post‑Graduate Certificate in Occupational Psychology from the University of the West of England, supporting her work in developing effective people‑centred approaches across the Trust.

Working at a strategic level, Ellie ensures that people practices across LST are consistent, compliant and aligned with the Trust’s mission of transforming lives through extraordinary education.
