The Cross Trust Lead SENCo is a key member of the Laidlaw Schools Trust Shared Services Team, working to strengthen and develop high-quality SEND provision across the Trust. They provide professional leadership and guidance to SENCOs within each Academy, supporting consistent, effective practice that reflects the Trust’s vision for inclusive education.

With expert knowledge of the SEND agenda and current research, the Cross Trust Lead SENCo plays a central role in shaping and delivering the Trust’s inclusion strategy. They lead on the development, monitoring and evaluation of SEND provision across Academies, working collaboratively with school leaders to ensure provision aligns with the SEND Code of Practice and meets the diverse needs of pupils. The role also involves regular travel between schools, enabling strong relationships and a shared strategic approach to inclusion across the Trust.
