Sally Newton

Sally leads the Strategic Leadership Team, Shared Services, as Chief Executive Officer.

Team members include Gabrielle Reddington, Keeley Wood, Chris Lane and Emma Swansbury.

The Strategic Leadership Team, Shared Services, is responsible for ensuring Laidlaw Schools Trust’s strategic projects are implemented successfully, so we remain focused on our mission of transforming lives through extraordinary education.

As a team, they bring expertise in Ofsted readiness, school improvement, educational leadership, data and systems, inclusion, and operational excellence. Sally brings over two decades of experience in education, having led schools, shaped national policy, and driven rapid improvement across diverse settings. Her leadership is rooted in innovation, inclusion, and a deep commitment to unlocking potential in every child.
