Chris Lane

Chris leads the Operations Team as Strategic Director of Operations.

Team members include the People Team, the IT Infrastructure Team, the Marketing Team and the Data Team. Together, they ensure that the Trust’s operational systems, services and infrastructure are robust, efficient and aligned with our mission of transforming lives through extraordinary education.

The Operations Team is responsible for delivering high‑quality support across HR, IT, data, systems, marketing and organisational development. As a team, they bring expertise in data and systems leadership, digital infrastructure, people management, strategic communications, compliance and operational excellence.

Chris brings over 20 years of experience in the education sector, specialising in data, systems and school operations. Before joining LST in 2021, he led major system implementations and migrations, managed a BSF IT managed service contract, contributed to senior leadership teams and used curriculum‑led financial planning to drive both curriculum and financial efficiencies. He has worked in schools in a wide range of contexts, contributing to improvement journeys from Ofsted Inadequate or Requires Improvement to securing positive inspection outcomes.
