Educational Psychologist

Alice Crawford

Alice supports the Inclusion and SEND function as Educational Psychologist within the Shared Services Team.

She works with Academies across the Trust to strengthen provision for children and young people with learning needs, social and emotional challenges, disabilities and complex developmental profiles. Her work includes direct assessment and intervention with students, as well as indirect support through collaboration with parents, teachers and other professionals.

The Inclusion and SEND function is responsible for ensuring that all Academies deliver high‑quality, evidence‑informed support for learners with additional needs. The team brings specialist expertise in SEND, educational psychology, therapeutic approaches, assessment, intervention design and inclusive practice. Together, they help schools develop environments where every child can access learning, feel supported and make strong progress.

Alice brings extensive experience from a range of educational and psychological settings, having worked as a teacher, Educational Psychologist and senior leader across multiple regions and services. Her background includes work in local authority EP teams, university teaching on doctoral programmes and leading academic and pastoral support in a school setting. She also holds a Masters in International Development and Education, where she developed a therapeutic programme for parents supporting children experiencing climate‑related anxiety.

Working at a strategic level, Alice supports Academies to embed inclusive, psychologically informed practice that improves educational experiences and outcomes for all learners.
