Rebecca Tills

Rebecca leads the Governance, Risk and Compliance function as Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance.

She oversees a Governance Team responsible for ensuring that governance, risk management and compliance processes are robust, transparent and aligned with statutory requirements across all LST Academies.

The Governance Team delivers governance clerking for all 11 Academies, Trust Board and Member clerking, policy management, internal audit support and Trust‑wide risk management. The team also oversees suspensions, permanent exclusions, Independent Review Panels, complaints and the management of the Single Central Record for Trustees and Governors. They lead on the recruitment, induction and training of Trustees and Governors, maintain declarations of interest and provide governance support and administration across the Trust.

Rebecca brings over 15 years of governance experience across multiple sectors, supported by a wide range of professional qualifications. She is currently undertaking the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme with the Chartered Governance Institute UK.

Working at a strategic level, Rebecca ensures that governance, risk and compliance frameworks across the Trust are rigorous, well‑managed and enable effective decision‑making in support of LST’s mission.
