Gabrielle Reddington

Gabrielle leads the Quality Education and Secondary Team as Strategic Director.

Team members include the Secondary Headteachers, the Secondary Standards and Achievement Team and the PedTech Team. Together, they ensure that high‑quality secondary education, strong leadership and innovative practice are embedded across all Laidlaw Schools Trust Academies.

The Quality Education and Secondary Team is responsible for driving school improvement, strengthening curriculum and assessment and ensuring that every secondary student benefits from extraordinary teaching and ambitious opportunities. As a team, they bring expertise in Ofsted readiness, curriculum design, assessment, SEND, educational leadership, data‑informed improvement and digital innovation.

Gabrielle brings over three decades of experience in education, beginning her career as a History teacher in West Yorkshire before moving into senior leadership, national school improvement work and advisory roles across the North East. She has worked with schools at village, county, regional and national level, across both mainstream and special education. Passionate about inclusion, opportunity and the development of teachers, Gabrielle continues to contribute to the sector as a School Governor and through quality assurance work with schools and Trusts across the North East and Yorkshire.
