Helen Telford

Helen, as the Head of People and Culture, is responsible for leading and managing the operational and strategic People activity across the Trust.

Helen began her career in the private sector working in the Utility and Banking sectors before moving into Higher Education, working as a HR Business Partner at The University of Sunderland for 13 years before her move to LST in June 2023.

After gaining her Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and Development, Helen became a Chartered Member of the CIPD. As a HR Business Partner she has specialised in supporting senior leaders in all aspects of strategic HR Management including employee relations, talent acquisition, management and development and employee engagement.

Helen is a Governor at Kings Priory School and lives in Tynemouth with her husband and 2 children.
